The 2022 draft is tonight and the countless draft boards across the sports media sites has highlighted several of our ELITE is EARNED/Check Me Out Showcase camp alumni.
We want to wish these hoopers the best of luck today in the 2022 WNBA Draft and even those going undrafted have bright futures with opportunities for training camp invites and overseas play.
Evina Westbrook of Salem, Oregon, was a regular at our Seattle camp from her freshmen year on. Her career led her from Tennessee to Connecticut and just wrapped up in the National Championship game.
Nalyssa Smith of Converse, Texas, was a regular at our Texas stop and even made the trip to Seattle in 2016 to be a part of arguably the most competitive camps we’ve ever hosted. She was also a part of the camp we stopped to have a 3-way dunk contest! The Wade Trophy winner has no shortage of accolades from her Baylor career, including a national title her freshman year.
Rae Burrell of Las Vegas, Nevada, pulled up to camp when we hosted in her hometown. The dynamic wing player exceeded a lot of expectations and was one of the best players in the SEC before an injury served as a speedbump this season.
Lexie Hull of Spokane, Washington, pulled up in our first national camp as an underclassman with her twin sister Lacie. That camp was loaded with talent from across the west including WNBA players like Jordin Canada, Destiny Slocum, and fellow draft hopeful Amber Ramirez.
Amber Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas, has become one of the nation’s elite shooters with range well beyond the college arc. Ramirez also grew up in the gym with us at camps across multiple cities. She has her eyes set on a long career.
Vivian Gray of Argyle, Texas, hooped with us in San Antonio in 2016. Besides her talent she has a really cool journey to get to being on draft boards. She played her freshman year at Division II Fort Lewis with her older sister. She transferred after an amazing freshman season to Oklahoma State and capped off her college career at Texas Tech.
Queen Egbo of Houston, Texas, capped off her Baylor career with an 11 points and 8.4 rebounds per game clip. She was a fun player to work with at camp and was a part of the 2017 dunk contest in our Austin camp.
Joanne Allen-Taylor of Houston, Texas, joined us in Austin in 2017 like Egbo. Her leadership, toughness and it factor all stood out then and paid her well in college. At Texas she grew into a player that could score it, lock down the opponents best player, get other people the ball, knock down open shots, pretty much a perimeter swiss army knife.
Kianna Smith of Moreno Valley, California, joined us in SoCal in 2016 and her versatility displayed then carried over to her play at Cal and then Louisville. As a big guard she scores and defends consistently and shot the ball well from 3 late in her career. That consistency on both ends should allow her to carve out a lane in the pros.
