Evaluations

October 2021: Abigail Long of Mission Hills, Kansas, is a scoring threat as soon as she crosses mid-court. She has a deadly jumper and isn’t afraid to use it. Her ball skill is the perfect complement to such a deadly weapon.  Deep range, strong ball skill and improved quickness!

Dec. 2020: Long is really building her scoring confidence and skill set.  Her release is super quick.  She’s getting the ball into the slot and out of her hand quickly.

Sept. 2020: Long’s strength is coming along nicely.  She’s clearly more comfortable with pressure and finishing in traffic.  She’s shooting it more and more confidence as well.

July 2020:  Long got out and played this July at the TOC Iowa sessions.  She showed a can finish in transition with either hand, even with a bump. Her range on catch and shoot extends past the high school line.  She’s shooting it off the dribble behind the arc as well.  Most impressive is her patience with the ball on the drive. If the help commits she has no problem delivering a pass with either hand.  She also shows a strong skill set getting the ball in the post. She pivots and fakes to create passing angles for post entry and does so with either hand.  She has a strong build for her age and uses it well for a youngster.  She’ll be one to keep an eye on going forward.
