ELITE is EARNED is partnering with PhD Hoops to put together two teams to represent the USA in international competition this summer. This is an opportunity taken by multiple boys teams and now we’re opening up teams for the girls as well.
June 18-27 2023, the group will include U19 and U16 girls teams. Elite Is Earned director Chris Hansen will be on the trip and coaching this summer as well! EIE trainer and coach Arvin Mosley was on the trip in 2022 and will again make the trip with PhD Hoops.
The teams will compete in the United World Games, the largest youth sports competition in all of Europe. Teams will practice, compete in Austria as well as take trips to Germany and Italy. While the goal is to be competitive in international play this trip is about experience new culture with basketball as the vehicle.
Spots on the teams are extremely limited as the total per team is typically just 8 or 9 players so everyone gets to play a lot.
To be considered for the U16 team players must be born on January 1, 2007 or later. For the U19 team players must be born January 1, 2004 or later.
