Evaluations

February 2020: Villa is showing huge strides in her ability to create for herself.  Last summer she was surgical shooting off screens and kickouts as well as slashing in the ball screen game.  Seeing her operate with the ball and have success turning the corner as well as scoring in the mid-range will really expand the schools that will want to recruit her early.
August 2019:
Villa is growing and getting longer, which is great because at a young age she had that advantage and really learned how to use her physical gifts.    She is a slashing scorer but also an effective and willing defender. Her range is much improved and she’s now comfortable letting it fly well behind the high school line.  She’s poised to make an impact right away with her first high school season.
July 2019:  Huge growth for Villa in that she was using her skills and tools against elite competition much older than her. She was guarded by standout 2021 Sara Puckett from the AL Southern Starz, one of the nation’s best players, and she was able to score on her, especially coming off screens and finding the right spacing.
May 2017: Villa came to Texas and her game was really effective.  She was really good creating off the balance despite being the youngest player in the gym.  She seems to have good instincts and I.Q. on the floor, especially given her age.
