Evaluations
June 2020: Fresh off of a quality showing at the Atlanta Academy, Konig was able to go toe-to-toe against some of the best guards in the country in Rori Harmon, Ashlon Jackson and Sammie Wagner. Her ability to compete athletically was noteworthy as Konig’s skill is never a point for concern.
March 2020: Konig had a monster sophomore year statistically at Jackson. She’s a true two-way player at either guard position who can pick up the opposing team’s best player full court or drop 30 for her team. She’s been a get to the bucket or mid-range player for a few years and her range has really expanded. Facing denials and double-teams this season forced her to knock down long shots.
April 2019: Length and athleticism allow Konig to play aggressive on both ends of the floor. When she catches on a ball reversal she can beat the closeout with ease. Once in the lane she can extend and finish with her length and it’s clear she’s worked on that 10-12 foot mid range floater and pull-up for when the help commits.
May 2018: Konig is a one-person press. She loves to torment the ball handler the length of the floor. She’s learned how to set up her defender with her hesitation move and then her length and quickness take over to attack. Adding range will be key to keep better defenders in high school from sagging off to slow her down.
