Evaluations

May 2021: Finally getting a high school season, we got to see a lot of growth in Miki’s game.  She showed us a lot more off the bounce during her school season.  Because she can shoot it she had lots of hard closeouts headed her way and she did a great job of beating them in straight lines to the paint.  On top of using her length to extend and finish she also showed a floater game emerging.  We love seeing that she’s using her off hand in traffic consistently.  It’s also great to see those hustle plays and second effort possessions show up outside of camp.  She’s definitely a kid to add to the watch list in July.  Adding strength to her frame will really help her against high level of competition.
February 2021: Vermeulen is a lefty off ball perimeter player with a sweet high release.  She has length in her frame and will finish at full extension.  She was active on the glass this weekend as well.  She’s a kid that seemed to be in the right place at the right time a lot.  She gives effort, knocks down shots and adds extra possession for her team.  As her strength and ball handling improve she’ll become an even more dangerous weapon.
